App Privacy Policy

How the RideMio app collects, uses and protects your data — for both passengers and drivers — in line with global data protection laws.

Last updated: June 2026

1Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the RideMio mobile applications, websites, customer support and related services (collectively, the "Services").

We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), PDPA (Singapore) and other regulations that apply to you.

By using the RideMio app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information to deliver and improve the Services:

  • Device and technical data — IP address, device model, operating system, app version and identifiers.
  • Personal information and identity verification data — name, contact details and documents used to verify your identity.
  • Usage data — time spent in the app and how you interact with features.
  • Location data — used for geolocation, matching, analytics and third-party service optimisation.

3Passenger information

When you ride with RideMio, we collect:

  • Pickup and drop-off locations and trip history.
  • Ratings and feedback you give and receive.
  • Payment details processed securely through our payment partners.

This information enables driver matching, fare estimates, receipts and safety features.

4Driver information

If you drive with RideMio, we additionally collect:

  • Government-issued ID and driving licence.
  • Vehicle registration and related documents.
  • Real-time driving behaviour data.
  • Earnings and payout details.

This data is used for identity verification, safety and regulatory compliance.

5Merchant information

If you sell on RideMio as a merchant or restaurant partner, we additionally collect:

  • Business details — store name, address, contact information and operating hours.
  • Business verification and tax documents, such as registration and licensing.
  • Menu, catalogue, pricing and inventory information.
  • Order history, ratings and customer feedback for your store.
  • Payout and settlement details for processing your earnings.

This data is used to list your store, process orders, settle payments and meet our regulatory and tax obligations.

6How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Connect passengers with nearby drivers and complete trips.
  • Calculate fares, process payments and issue receipts.
  • Provide navigation, live tracking and arrival estimates.
  • Verify identities, prevent fraud and keep the platform safe.
  • Analyse usage to improve reliability, features and customer experience.

7How we share your information

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We share information only as needed to deliver the Services:

  • Passengers receive the driver's name, photo, vehicle details and rating.
  • Drivers receive the passenger's first name, rating and pickup location.
  • Merchants receive the order details needed to prepare and hand over an order, and limited delivery information.
  • Service providers — payment processors, map providers and cloud hosts — receive only the data relevant to their function.
  • Authorities or other parties where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

8Data retention

We keep your data for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfil our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing privacy@ridemio.com or by using our in-app account deletion page.

9Data security

We protect your information using encryption, secure servers, access controls and regular security audits.

While we work hard to safeguard your data, no digital system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can control app permissions such as location and notifications from your device settings, and you may uninstall the app at any time to stop further data collection.

11Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can remove it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
